Exotic-Common Birds

L:'Avocet & Blackbird', R:'Jay & Dipper', acrylic with poppy seeds, linseeds on canvas.
Sara is working on some very small but very special British common bird portraits, created in an exotic manner with rich jewel colours and golden design embellishments. Framed in 10" x 8" float frames like precious artefacts.
They are painted on little 5"x3" canvases in acrylic with tiny poppy seeds and linseeds acting as sparkly beads. By playing with the concept of what it is to be appreciated as exotic and what it is to be classed as common; there is an invitation to look closer at the real beauty which surrounds us all.
